Fox and Friends host Ainsley Earhardt made a startling declaration during a live broadcast of the show, delivering an awkward confession just days after appearing visibly uneasy following a phone call from President Donald Trump.
The Fox News presenter, who is engaged to fellow network personality Sean Hannity, made an unexpected comment during the morning program’s latest episode, as she and co-hosts Lawrence Jones, Brian Kilmeade and Carley Shimkus discussed the “Pete and Bobby Challenge,” a fitness challenge featuring Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in competition.
While the show and network is known for trying to always “flip the script,” as it tries to shield the president from brutal blows ,” it was unfortunately unable to protect Earhardt from making an awkward blunt statement.
This prompted the unexpected declaration from Earhardt.
After Kilmeade mentioned that Duffy was a “champion lumberjack” who “wears plaid,” and Shimkus remarked that he was a “real man,” Earhardt offered her own startling confession, reports the Express US.
“I just love men,” she announced, as her co-hosts erupted in laughter.
“I just love men!” she repeated. “It’s so cool to see guys being strong. I could never do a pullup. The hunter-gatherer in the men, I just love it. It’s really cool that God did this right?”
The remark occurred just two days after President Trump phoned into the program regarding his attempts to resolve the Russo-Ukraine conflict, but veered off into discussing his crime reduction initiatives in Washington DC-before straying even further into a conversation about Earhardt’s romance with Hannity.
“A guy named Sean Hannity, he might take a very lovely young lady that he knows very, very well, to dinner in Washington, and they don’t have to-and she’s sitting right next to you by the way-I don’t want to get her in trouble, so I better explain exactly, we don’t want any secrets here, but that’s the greatest relationship,” Trump said during the call, as Jones continually tried to interrupt and get him back on track.
“Hey, this could be the most important thing I’ve said, but those two are great. Ainsley and Sean, great people, and when they go out to dinner, I don’t want to see them get mugged,” he continued.
“Now they can go out, they can hold hands, and then they can both walk down the street,” he added.
After contemplating the duo’s respective paychecks, Jones managed to momentarily redirect the discussion back to its intended course, though the network suddenly cut their connection with him as he once more raised the romantic topic, leaving Earhardt visibly uneasy and laughing nervously.
“I’ll say it, you know, I like this, it’s a great couple, we love ’em,” he said again.
