Marriage and children could be on the cards for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, as their recent downtime before the 2025 NFL season has removed any doubts over their future
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were extremely smitten during the record-breaking ‘New Heights’ podcast, which was released on Aug. 13, and the high-profile couple is reportedly ready to take their relationship to the next level.
The Kelce brothers made history when hosting Swift on their podcast, her first significant long-form interview. The live premiere reached 1.3 million concurrent viewers and had over 13 million hits in the first 24 hours, breaking records for podcasts released on YouTube.
Before the podcast was released, Swift and Kelce had kept a low profile and made the most of the open schedule before preparations for the 2025 NFL season began. That time has been valuable for the couple, as they now feel ready to consider marriage and having children.
“This time together solidified Taylor knowing that she wants to be with Travis forever,” a source told US Weekly. They want to be married and have kids in the future.
“Theyre both genuinely ready for that chapter. Taylor and Travis have settled into a real rhythm as a couple, and the more time they spend together, the more they realize how aligned they are.
“During this downtime, they really noticed all the little things they have in common. They feel like they’ve found their person.”
The sports and entertainment world collided in 2023 when it was rumored that Swift was dating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. Swift then began attending his NFL games and shared a wholesome moment with Kelce after he won the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Both Swift and Kelce have a public dating history, but have found common ground due to being at the top of their respective industry. In an interview with GQ, Kelce explained that Swift’s understanding helped strengthen their connection.
“I hadnt experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” Kelce said. “That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows.
“She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But Ive seen what she goes through. Ive seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and its mind-blowing.”
Kelce doesn’t feel like an NFL star when he’s with Swift, and he believes that their love is more genuine than it’s often portrayed. “Whenever Im with her, it feels like were just regular people,” he said.
“When there is not a camera on us, were just two people that are in love. It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that… it happened very organically, even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked.
“When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f— off.”
