The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered their latest one-and-done trip in the postseason after losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night, 28-14. Making the loss worse, the Steelers barely put up a fight.

Baltimore jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead over Pittsburgh, which pretty much sealed the deal right then and there. The Steelers got a stop on the Ravens’ first offensive series of the second half and Pittsburgh scored on the next drive.

But the momentum from that score was quickly erased, as the Ravens answered with a touchdown drive of their own on the next series. Pittsburgh would score again, but that was all the offense the team could muster up for the rest of the game.

With the Steelers going one-and-done once again, there will most certainly be calls for head coach Mike Tomlin to be fired, but there has been no indication the Steelers will go that route.

After the game, Tomlin refused to address his future with the team, according to Mark Kaboly.

Tomlin had a similar response when asked about what the team could do at the quarterback position in 2025.

“I’m not ready to take a big picture approach,” Tomlin said. “You know, I’m really assessing what happened today, man.

“I’m certainly appreciative of their efforts tonight, but I could say that largely for the entire season the two quality people, three quality people at the quarterback position, man, and really appreciate what they poured into this.”

It certainly feels like it’s time for the Steelers to go in a different direction at head coach, but again, we don’t anticipate that happening.

As for the quarterback position, the ugly ending to the Steelers’ season should, at the very least, leave Pittsburgh exploring its options this offseason. He definitely had his moments, but at the end of the day, Wilson simply wasn’t good enough.
