Stuck on Sticky: A Kitten’s Journey from Glue Trap to Find Home

Once upon a time, there was a tiny kitten named Sticky. He wasn’t named Sticky because he was sweet (though he was!), but because he got himself into a sticky situation – literally. At just three weeks old, he found himself trapped in a glue trap meant for rats at a hotel. Poor Sticky!

Thankfully, a kind person found him and brought him to The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF). The people at ARF had their work cut out for them.

They had to give Sticky lots of baths to get all the sticky glue off of him. But Sticky was a brave little kitten, and he didn’t complain one bit.

Once Sticky was all cleaned up, the vet gave him a check-up and found him to be a happy and healthy kitten. He was ready for the next step in his adventure: finding a foster home.

A wonderful lady took Sticky in and promised to help him grow big and strong. She also wanted to teach him how to be a good pet and get along with people. Sticky’s foster mom quickly fell in love with him. He was so playful and friendly, and he had the cutest little wiggle when he got excited!

Sticky’s foster mom had a big job: she had to teach Sticky how to be a good house cat and make sure he gained enough weight to be adopted.

Every morning, she would weigh Sticky. He was almost the right weight, but he was so squirmy that it was hard to get an accurate reading!

Just a few days later, Sticky was big enough to be adopted. But there was a twist in the story. Sticky’s foster mom realized she was just too stuck on Sticky to let him go! She decided to adopt him and give him a forever home.

So, Sticky went from being a trapped kitten to a beloved pet. He may have started his life in a sticky situation, but it sure had a happy ending!
